If you were familiar with Joomla 1.0 where you could turn the date and author's name on and off from within the article, you may be confused with Joomla 1.5. Some of the elements that used to be in the Global Configuration settings are now in the Parameters area in the Article Manager.

When you click on the "Forgot your login" link in the login box, do you get a form that doesn't have a submit button? The form is designed in Community Builder to show the two checkboxes for help with either your password or your username. In most cases, when you click on one of the boxes, the rest of the page magically slides up to display (including the submit button). But this doesn't happen for all users (most notably IE8).
